The Independent is thrilled to announce an expanded content partnership with Latitude 2026, bringing fans exclusive interviews with top festival talent in the build-up to its twentieth edition.
A series of video interviews will go live weekly from 8 June, featuring The Independent’s journalists in conversation with some of the brilliant musicians, thinkers and comedians on the Latitude bill including:
Further interviews will include choreographer bLUr, first British person in space Helen Sharman, and poet and playwright Inua Ellams.
The partnership with Latitude will also see extensive branding across various festival touchpoints, as well as on-stage appearances from The Independent’s journalists and podcast talent from its production house, Independent Studio. Adam Cleary from football favourite ACFC, and Helen MacNamara and Cleo Watson from political show In The Room will feature on Latitude’s popular Listening Post stage.
Artists at this year’s festival include David Byrne, Teddy Swims, Lewis Capaldi, The Last Dinner Party, Tom Grennan, Wet Leg and Billy Ocean, alongside a comedy line-up featuring Ross Noble, Jen Brister, Jack Dee, Sara Pascoe, Lenny Henry and Sue Perkins.
Latitude 2026 will also feature the most topical debates in science at The Cosmic Shambles Forest of Science and Culture, with renowned speakers including Helen Czerski and Julia Shaw. The Listening Post stage features fascinating conversations with the likes of Dr John Cooper Clarke.
