Today we check in on the progress of The Independent’s Christmas campaign in support of Zarach. We also hear from The Independent’s Director of Global Ad Ops, our wine partner Perfect Cellar and about our new partnership with CUPRA.
On Monday, The Independent announced that it is supporting the charity Zarach in an urgent appeal to buy beds for children.
With an aim of 500 beds by Christmas, and thanks to the kindness of our readers and partners, we are delighted to say that we are already halfway in reaching our target.
The shocking truth is that right now, 900,000 children in the UK do not have a bed – a number which has doubled in just six years. They are sleeping on freezing floors, huddled on sofas, or crammed in beds with multiple family members. They’re exhausted and cold, unable to engage in school.
Together, we can stop that. Please give what you can to help us change the lives of children forever via https://zarach.org/christmas/. Every single pound will make a difference – and it takes just seven days from a bed being funded for it to be delivered to a child’s home.
