Ipsos IRIS’ latest figures (August 2022) once again crown The Independent as the UK’s biggest quality digital news brand* with a 21.4M monthly audience.
As well as being the being the biggest quality digital news brand, The Independent showed the second-best gross year-on-year change in readership. gaining 2.5M more readers.
The Independent’s leadership of the digital pureplay market** has also strengthened. The publication continues to reach more than twice as many consumers as all the other pureplays combined, even when the total pureplay market increased by 5% YoY, or 1.6M readers. The Independent also had the best gross year-on-year change in views in the digital pureplay market.
