Join The Independent at the Henley Literary Festival – live and on Independent TV

The Independent is proud to be the exclusive news partner of the Henley Literary Festival. The relationship includes on stage conversations with celebrated authors, and exclusive editorial in The Independent.

One such piece is a revealing interview with Sara Pascoe, who appeared at Henley at a preview event last night. In her conversation with The Independent’s arts editor Jessie Thompson, Sara discusses her debut novel, predators in the comedy industry and why cancel culture is funny.

  2. 30 September, 12pm: Sebastian Faulks in conversation with The Independent’s Martin Chilton
  3. 4 October, 8pm: Gary Younge in conversation with The Independent’s Nadine White
  4. 6 October, 8pm: Robert Peston in conversation with The Independent’s Simon Walters
  5. 8 October, 12pm: Louis de Bernieres in conversation with The Independent’s Martin Chilton

 

For those who cannot attend Henley in person, the Sebastian Faulks and Louis de Bernieres talks will be available to watch on Independent TV for two days after the events. Meanwhile, Independent TV viewers can tune into the Gary Younge and Robert Peston on stage interviews live and on demand.

The Henley Literary Festival is packed full of 130 conversations, performances and talks for adults and children. It takes place from Saturday 30 September to Sunday 8 October, with a programme which includes Elif Shafak, Simon Schama, David Baddiel, Shaparak Khorsandi and Viv Groskop.
