The Independent is pleased to announce the renewal of its partnership with the NSPCC’s Monday Movie Club, continuing its support for the charity’s vital Childline service.
Originally established in 2022, the partnership reflects The Independent’s ongoing commitment to supporting organisations that drive meaningful change.
The Monday Movie Club offers members exclusive monthly screenings of high-profile films ahead of their general release. Hosted at the acclaimed The May Fair Hotel, the events provide a unique cinematic experience alongside access to a private bar for guests.
Since its launch in 2011, the initiative has raised more than £1 million in support of Childline, the NSPCC’s free, 24/7 confidential counselling service for children and young people.
As part of the renewed partnership:
Beth Gordon, Director of Brand Marketing and Communications at The Independent, said: “At The Independent, we are dedicated to amplifying the voices of those who are too often unheard. The NSPCC does extraordinary work supporting children who are voiceless, vulnerable and in urgent need of protection. It is our privilege to play even a small role in helping to keep children safe, and we are incredibly proud of our four-year partnership.”
Sophie Garrett, Associate Head of Volunteer Board Fundraising, said: “We are delighted that The Independent has renewed its partnership with the NSPCC through the Monday Movie Club.
“Long‑term partnerships such as these – which has raised over £1million for Childline since its inception – are essential in helping the charity to deliver its vital services across the UK.”Thanks to generous support like this, we can be there for children and young people whenever they need someone to listen – day or night.”
